For two years in a row, the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad bagged the UAAP Cheerdance Competition title.
The Diliman-based cheerdancers wowed the 20,000 viewers who gathered at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, September 17, with their flawless breathtakingMadonna-inspired routine.
UP Pep Squad took home the P340,000 top prize while its member Nesza Salvador was chosen as the "2011 Samsung Stunner" and awarded with a Samsung ST700 camera.
The De La Salle University (DLSU) Animo Squad ranked second in the competition, followed by Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad at 3rd place.
The University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe and Adamson University (AdU) Pep Squad ended at 4th and 5th, while the National University (NU) Pep Squad took home the 6th spot.
The 7th and last spots goes to the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion and University of the East (UE) Pep Squad.
