Albert Martinez Talks About His Wife's New Battle with Cancer
Albert Martinez had a shocking revelations when he guested live on "The Buzz" last Sunday, October 16.
Albert was not able to hold back his emotions when asked to talk about the health of his wife, Liezl.
“We experienced another setback na akala namin okay na. Nag-recur yung big letter C,” Albert started to share.
The actor-director said his whole world shattered when he learned about Liezl’s condition.
“Again gumuho na naman ang mundo ko. For the past 2 years, akala ko okay na. We’re having plans again of 'we want this, we want that, we’ll go here, we’ll go there.' And then all of a sudden, nangyari ulit iyon. Parang what’s going on? Nag-stop lahat. It’s harder the second time around to put the pieces together. Parang ito na ba iyon? Is there any hope,” he continued.
Albert said he has been praying harder now and is hoping Liezl will be well and all of them could recover from all that is happening.
Asked how much he loves his wife now, Martinez said: “Nothing changed. It’s just hard na yung plinano namin to grow old together na simple and all that, medyo na-derail ng konti. We just have to find ways around.”
Meanwhile, the actor vowed he will do everything in his power to help Liezl.
“Whatever is happening right now, it’s just a bump on the road and we’re gonna fight it together. It’s going to be a group thing. You’re not alone. I’ll always be here,” he said.
“We’ll make sure that whatever’s available out there in the market that can help you, we will do that, because you are more important than anything else in the world,” Martinez added.
Liezl was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2007. She was given a clean bill of health in 2010.
